Anshuman is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC India). Before his current position at EPIC India, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Environmental Markets Lab at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics, a Masters degree in Public Policy from UC Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM Dhanbad).
He has conducted research on the implications of air pollution-linked migration for pollution regulation, the impact of industrial water pollution on agriculture, the political economy of water conservation, and the effect of climate adaptation policies on agriculture.
His research interests centre around the design of appropriate policies and institutions for developing countries to reduce environmental externalities and foster climate adaptation in the pursuit of economic growth.
