Delhi doesn’t just face an air pollution problem— it faces a transportation emissions crisis. As vehicle ownership and freight movement grow, real-world vehicle emissions increasingly shape the air breathed by over 30 million people every day. Recent studies in Delhi NCR show that on-road emissions often exceed laboratory limits, pointing to gaps in monitoring and enforcement.

In partnership with the International Council on Clean Transportation, the 7th EPIC India Dialogue edition will bring together research, policy, and on-ground experience to examine the role of transport emissions in Delhi’s air pollution challenge. Joining the conversation with us will be Mr. Amit Bhatt, India Managing Director, International Council on Clean Transportation, and Dr. Kaushik Deb, Executive Director, Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago India, who will discuss real-world vehicle emissions, assess current policy interventions, and explore how stronger tailpipe regulations can deliver measurable air quality and public health benefits.
