Vaibhav Chowdhary heads the strategy, operations and business development for Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) India. Prior to this, Vaibhav was the “National Energy Adviser” to the Government of United Kingdom (UK) wherein he was leading the UK – India bilateral relationship on Energy and Environment. Prior to working with the government of UK / DFID, Vaibhav worked as a Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy team.
Vaibhav is an executive management professional from Booth School of Business, University of Chicago along with an MBA in Power Management from National Power Training Institute (NPTI), GoI. He holds a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering along with a post graduate diploma on “Economics and Planning of Energy System” from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and a diploma on “Energy and Sustainability” from Open University (OU), London, UK. Vaibhav is a Certified Energy Auditor of the Government of India and has published papers in international journals like ITRI and authored various energy audit reports in India.
